Side events
The WEgate Summit represents a unique opportunity for the Women Entrepreneurs community and other stakeholders to take stock of the challenges and opportunities existing in the European entrepreneurial environment, and have a constructive conversation on those topics that are the most relevant at a specific moment.
To capitalize in the diversity and expertise of its community, WEgate is providing the Summit's platform to its Community Members to lead independently organized activities from the 4th until the 6th of October 2021.
Women Entrepreneurs in Science meets WEgate – The Female Founders Talk
Organized by Women Entrepreneurs in Science @ Start-up Center der Bergischen Universität Wuppertal
Are you interested in finding out how other female founders built up their idea and startup from scratch? The female founder Clarissa Eichenhauer of WE.MODE will introduce you to her start-up and its founding story and will give a presentation of her digital innovation and will share more on her current challenges and ideas. You also have the opportunity to ask her questions about the topic of founding a company and learn from the shared practices of Clarissa and take some time for networking and speed matching sessions.

Scientists and entrepreneurs: Women tackling global problems
Organized by Professor Simonetta Manfredi, Professor of
Equality and Diversity Management at Oxford Brookes University Business School
A free on-line panel discussion and networking event with women scientists and entrepreneurs. They will share their experiences and vision beyond their transformational products and technologies. The discussion will also focus on the role of universities to support more women in innovation and entrepreneurship and funding strategies to develop their ventures.

Epic Synergies – Networking Event
Organized by Entnest | Home of Entrepreneurs
A key ingredient for success is a strong network of supporters with complementary skills, as to create change on a larger scale, collaboration is needed. Entnest – Home of Entrepreneurs hosts regular events for supporters of women in entrepreneurship. The goal of these events is to bring together like-minded individuals and organizations in the area of female entrepreneurship and uncover Epic Synergies between the participants.

Bites & Business is a business network in the Netherlands. Since the foundation in 2007 female entrepreneurs come together to meet and inspire each other and to share what they know, question based. The network has 25 branches in the Netherlands. As we think our unique concept of networking can work in every culture, it is time to bring it to an international level. Women's Entrepreneurship Day 2021
Organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia
This year, for the first time, the Chamber of Small Business and Trade of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia will organize the WOMEN’S ENTREPRENEURSHIP DAY, with the thematic DIFFERENT ASPECTS AND FUNDING OF WOMEN’S ENTREPRENEURSHIP, held under the GZS brand during the EU Presidency. During the event we will also award women entrepreneurs form Slovenia for their entreprepreneurial success.
Please mind that the event will be held in Slovenian, with English interpretation.

EIC Women Leadership Programme Launching Event: Acknowledging the winds of change
Organized by the European Innovation Council
Is promoting the female role models and innovative business leaders of today - across the entrepreneurial spectrum - something that sparks your interest? You’ve come to the right place then. To shed further light and reinforce the ongoing support on the uphill battle that has been the participation of women in the innovation, tech and business areas, the European Innovation Council (EIC) is launching a full-fledged impactful Women Leadership Programme (WLP). 50 women researchers and entrepreneurs were selected from a pool of over 200 applicants coming from various EIC funded projects (Accelerator, Pathfinder, and other Horizon 2020 legacy calls). Given this matter is becoming more important with each passing day, on the 7th October 2021, the EIC Women Leadership Programme will be officially set in motion with a virtual event that will outline its services.
